My dad worked hard his whole life, as a millwright at a paper mill in small town, New Brunswick. He worked long shifts, always on call and never complained. The mill was shut down when he was only 1 year away from getting a retirement package, so he started working at a mine over an hour’s drive away and he won’t stop until he has to – when the mine shuts down next year. He worked hard his whole life so that we could have a good life and for that I will be forever grateful.

The most valuable lesson my father taught me is the value of hard work and dedication.

my father taught me that your children always come first. He would wear old worn boots and shoes to make sure that we always has good boots, bikes,clothes. a truly selfless man. My mother say’s that I’m just like him. Could not ask for a better compliment!!!! Thanks Raymond!!!

Well, my dad’s my best friend. He taught me many things. The most valuable lesson would be he taught me how to be a great father. I can only wish to be as great of a dad as he has been for me. “Love you dad”

The most important lesson my father ever taught me would probably have to be how to treat a lady. I grew up having an amazing childhood and I owe a lot of it to both parents. My dad has always treated my mother like it was their first date and he was still trying to impress her. He takes her on exciting trips to surprise her, they agree on not getting each other anything for Christmas and he will always show up with something my mother absolutely loves. After 24 years it is still the exact same and they never lost their spark. I think my dad truly deserves this and much more.

The value of a HARD days work. he worked as a cabinetmaker since he was 16 thats 60 years NOW! He is always ther to help me when I need it and never complains about it.

Im ashamed to say but he can still outwork me!

The most valuable lesson that my father taught me is …that , he will always love me,and that is why I will always love my Dad.

Once I saw past that, my life really started. I have the most supportive Dad and when he doesn’t approve of something or someone, it bites me in the ass if I don’t listen to him.

My dad taught me how to work hard take every day as it is your last,enjoy life as it come to you and to be a loving and caring FATHER TO YOUR KIDS AND YOUR WIFE BECAUSE ONE DAY YOU MAY WAKE UP AND ALL IS LOST. So enjoy what you have now and worry about the other stuff as it comes and drink good beer.

As a kid, he told me “always keep beer in the fridge, because some days, thats all you need to remind yourself that you are a man”..

No man is a failure until he stops trying.

well, it’s hard to pin point. so many little lessons that tied together and ones that have resonated more as the years passed. but now that i am the proud father of a beautiful little girl with the world at her fingertips, i now realize one main thing that my father ALWAYS wanted me to key in on… BE THERE!!! through thick and thin, come hell or high water, NEVER stop loving and ALWAYS encourage growth! you CAN’T do ANY of these things if you don’t let your child know that you ARE there for them. my daughter will always have a safety net in me, no matter how threadbare… daddy will be there to count on!
