Beer After Exercising:

Did you know it's Better To Drink Beer After Exercise Than Water?

Beer enthusiasts may be on the brink of a discovery about sport conditioning today, that Greats like Babe Ruth may have known for years. Researchers at The University of Granada suggest a pint of post-workout beer is better at rehydrating the human body than water. Their study gathered 25 students and worked them to almost exhaustion. They then gave half the group a pint of Spanish Lager, the other half a glass of water. The result: rehydration effects in those given beer were slightly better than those who were given only water. Researchers attribute thirst being quickly quenched and the replacement of calories lost during physical exertion, to the carbon dioxide and carbohydrates in beer. Another reason to love your Steam Whistle Pilsner, but in moderation, of course!

The Ride to Conquer Cancer:

Steam Whistle at the Ride to Conquer Cancer

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is the largest event Steam Whistle sponsors in the year. As the official beer for this 200km race from Toronto to Niagara, this year we served over 13,800 donated servings of our Pilsner to many of the 3,350 well deserving cyclists and their supporters at the half way point end of Day 1, and at the finish line on Day 2. Steam Whistle not only congratulates all participants of the race, but is extremely proud to be a part of an event that was able to raise a reported $14.5 million for cancer research! Wow! Way to go riders!

I was a participant in the Ride to Conquer Cancer last weekend. At the end of each day I had the pleasure of enjoying cold free Steam Whistle beer - it tasted so good and was very cold!! You have a great beer, and now you have a new customer. Most important, I want to thank you for sponsoring the Ride to Conquer Cancer. Thank you,
Douglas Gray - Barrie,ON
I am late in sending you guys a huge thank you for all your support in the Ride to Conquer Cancer. As per last year, your team received a huge ovation from our 3000 person party tent at Camp Ceremonies on Saturday night. Thank you in helping us get one step closer to our vision to "Conquer Cancer in Our Lifetime". Steam Whistle's presence at the event makes it that much more special - and our riders / fundraisers absolutely appreciate it.
Best, Steve Merker, The Ride to Conquer Cancer

Steam Whistle Tour Photos
Hi there, I came on a tour a few weeks ago and our tour guide, Mattie, suggested I send in a few pics I took from the tour. My friends and I had a great time in Toronto, and our last stop before we hopped on our plane was the Steam Whistle Brewery! It was the perfect ending to our trip, and I will recommend this tour to anyone visiting Toronto. Mattie was also an excellent guide! Thanks for the fun! Best, Jodi Kanter
I wanted to drop a quick note to tell you how much I enjoy your beer. I have only recently made the switch to Steam Whistle and it seems to taste even better in this recent heat. Thanks for your time and keep up the good work. Steve Hunter
Hello, I'm a country boy from ouside Ottawa. I ws recently turned onto your beer and I won't be looking back, simply put: awesome beer!! Great taste, clean looking bottles and I even recieved a vintage opener in my case! Whatever you do, just keep on keepin' on becuase your product is fantastic! Nothing like a ice cold Steamwhistle on the front porch after a long day of work. Again, thanks for a fantastic beer. I hope to make it to Toronto someday for a tour of your facility. Best Regards, Robbie Sadler, A satisfied customer.
I just thought that you would like to know, Steam Whistle was this year's best tasting beer at my family's Annual Fathers Day Beer Tasting Challenge. We each picked a theme, for example mine was Independent Breweries of Ontario, of which Steam Whistle advanced to the finals and eventually won. The competition consisted of beers from Holland, Germany, Mexico, The Carribean, The Orient and Mexico. Thank you for making great beer, Best Regards, John Vandelaar
"Great beer. Proud of the fact that it is a Canadian beer, from Toronto as well" Daniel B, Survey Respondent.
