About the Bands
Wilderness of Manitoba
To understand the Wilderness of Manitoba, you have to go to a music-filled house in Toronto, Canada. The property on Delaware Avenue is where the singing multi-instrumentalists, Scott Bouwmeester and Will Whitwham, began writing songs that seemed to demand a new configuration. After enlisting Stefan Banjevic, another singing multi-instrumentalist, the Wilderness of Manitoba was born. As the band received more and more attention, they added drummer Sean Lancaric and vocalist Amanda Balsys to flesh out the sound. Something special happens when the members of the Wilderness of Manitoba sing together. It’s no surprise that their timeless sound and distinctive approach has found supporters in Canada, the UK, the U.S. and Europe. In the last two years, the band has played the End of the Road Festival and toured the UK, played SXSW and toured the U.S. four times, toured Canada and played the Reeperbahn Festival in Germany in support of their album, When You Left The Fire. Their new album, Isand of Echoes, is due in late August.

Amos the Transparent
Amos the Transparent is a Canadian rock band from Ottawa, Ontario, who have released two full length albums and a number of EPson 45 Records, Pop Culture Records and Sunday School Music. Although they claim to be transparent, Amos are anything but.  On the newest record, “Goodnight, My Dear... I’m Falling Apart”, Amos the Transparent explore a wide variety of musical textures and dynamics.  Calling on the expertise of Gus van Go and Werner F for the final touches, the band took the tracks to the Boiler Room in NYC for some additional production and mixes.  The album contains both upbeat indie pop tracks such as the first single, ‘Sure as the Weather’ as well as dare, more experimental tunes like ‘Convince the Mayor’ and has been dubbed the record that “truly captures their sound”. Whether they are sharing the stage with Patrick Watson, Zeus or the Darcys, or headlining a show in Australia or at SXSW, Amos come alive when they perform. has been on a steady rise in the Canadian indie music scene since the late 2011 release of their debut EP entitled “Young Love”. NOW! Magazine called them a “must see” in Toronto’s 2011 Indie Week roundup, featured the band in their September artist spotlight and their appearance on ranked 2nd worldwide among the site’s weekly video releases. Nate Daniels (vocals/guitar), Matt Sullivan (drums/percussion), Caitlin Grieve (strings/vocals), Dante BerardiJr (guitar/vocals) and Wooyoung Kim (bass) have an obvious affinity for haunting quiet and walls of sound. Their music – sometimes orchestral and sometimes minimal – can be characterized as strangely familiar while remaining unmistakably new. is continuing to build on the momentum they created in 2011. They have just wrapped up filming From Far And Wide, a web series showcasing Canadian indie bands ( Their song “All These Colours” has been chosen for the final scenes of the Canadian feature film Locked In A Garage Band and they were the only Canadian band selected among hundreds of entrants as a top 10 finalist in the Red Bull Soundstage music challenge.
