Air Farce

ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FARCE was on site at Steam Whistle Brewing in November to shoot a "farce film" for the final episode of this great Canadian comedy show, due to air December 31st on CBC Television. See if you can recognize our location in the clip and email with your comments.


Always proud of our Environmental Initiatives, Steam Whistle Brewing was a recent host to Chinese Central Television's show "Green Space" which was here in Toronto to feature us as part of this innovative, environmental, world-class city. Nice!

Ernst and Young

On October 16, 2008 Steam Whistle co-founders, Cam Heaps and Greg Taylor, were honoured as winners in the Consumer Category for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Cam and Greg gave heartfelt speeches thanking their familes, our customers and our many dedicated staff, all of whom contributed to the company's success.

Plans taking shape at the Roundhouse Rail Museum

Pictured left is "Cabin D" being moved into position in Roundhouse Park, as both indoors and out, progress is being made on the coming Toronto Rail Heritage Centre. Steam Whistle has been involved with our neighbours in a few small ways. Always ready to help, we are really looking forward to the Museum opening!

Steam Whistle UNSIGNED Alberta

Steam Whistle UNSIGNED

On November 20, our 9th Steam Whistle UNSIGNED Indie Music concert rolled out in Calgary's Broken City Social Club featuring The Bicycles, Hot Panda and Sleepless Nights. As with all our UNSIGNED concerts, $5 at the Door goes to charity. To date, our indie music series has raised $10,000 for the Artists' Health Foundation Centre, $555 for the Calgary Underground Film Festival, $1500 for the Regent Park School of Music, $400 for the Elephant Artist Relief.

Halloween Bash at Steam Whistle

Scooby Do Halloween

Steam Whistle staffers hammed it up at our Annual Halloween Party as the stupendous mystery solvers, Fred (Chris Henderson) Daphne (Jill Henderson), Thelma (Jenny Henderson) and Shaggy (Ryan Giesen). Our 1967 Scoobie-Doo-inspired "Steam Machine" was their perfect back drop. Check out our Halloween Photo Gallery for pics of the hundreds of party-goers.

Steam Whistle in the Cycling World

Cycling World

Steam Whistle has sponsored many different cycling disciplines this year. Pictured left is Ed Makarchuk of road cycling team SOUND SOLUTIONS who took the win at the Ontario Provincial Road Race Championships in Elliot Lake on the difficult Rattlesnake Hill Course. Pictured middle is a competitor in the World Indoor Cyclo-cross Championships in Springbank, Alberta fueled by Steam Whistle. And right, is the Impala Steam Whistle Racing Team, who competed in Ontario's downhill cycling circuit. Congratulations to all the competitors on a great showing.

The Canadian Stage Company, Canada's leading not-for-profit contemporary theatre, is dedicated to programming international contemporary theatre and to developing and producing landmark Canadian theatre.
